Is the Right Misusing Humour?
The British left has acquired something of a reputation for humourlessness. It is perhaps to George Monbiot’s credit, then, that he has not been dissuaded from reflecting on the dark side of jokes. Say what you like about Mr Monbiot — who I have always genuinely enjoyed reading — but he has never been afraid of affirming stereotypes about left-wingers.
