The death of Ayman al-Zawahiri was anti-climactic. For two decades, since 9/11, Osama bin Laden's second-in-command had eluded capture or killing. Perhaps he would have been somewhat disappointed to know that his long-delayed elimination would leave such a shallow imprint on the news.
